Hi i'm here to tell you about the wheel and axle. The wheel and axle are used to make something travel faster over a distance.  This happens by a gear turning the wheel and axle making it move.  It also makes your scissors cut by spliting the wedge and making it come back so it can cut. The wheel and axle is found in many inventions and is loved by many because they don't have to walk everywhere.

I rekon I would rate the wheel and axle a 10 because it helps us in so many different ways.  It also makes a good team-up with the other simple machines.

The bike is a compound machine made by 3 simple machines called
pully,lever and wheel and axle.
The wheel and axle helps the wheel by the wheel rolling around the axle.
The pully helps by letting the chain go round it and then it gets conected to the axle witch makes the wheel rotate.
The lever is the handel bars they are really helpful because if they weren't there how could you
steer.

Hi!  I'll be telling you about scissors today.  Some of the parts are wedge, lever, gear and something else.  It was invented by Romans around ad 100.  Scissors can also be ysed for cutting various thin materials such as paper, cardboard, metal foil, thin plastic, cloth, rope and wire.  Scissors can also be used to cut hair and food.  They consist of a pair of metal blades pivoted so that the sharpened edges slide against each other when handles (bows) opposite to the pivot are closed.  That's all i've got so bye!

THE STAPLER

My compound machine is the Stapler.  This little device is important because it helps keep papers together.  It is used everyday, everywhere from offices to schools, to kindergartens and businesses.  I choose the stapler because some people think that the stapler is just a normal, random machine, but if you have one then take a look at how important this simple machine is.

My simple machine is a wheel. It works in many ways to make our life better. if cars didn't have wheels, how would they move around? Most of our transport involves wheels! Bikes, trains, cars and even planes! Wheels are amazing! 



My compound machine is the can opener! It uses lots of little simple machines that work together to open a can. We use the can opener alot to make different types of food. Canned food is one of the many foods that dosen't expire easily! Withouyt the can opener, how would we eat tinned baked beans or tinned fruit? Or lives are truly changed bu this great invention!
